Belton 4th of July Celebration and PRCA Rodeo
Belton, Texas

When: days surrounding July 4th

Where: A week's worth of events take place a several Belton sites, including the Bell County Expo, Main Street, Yettie Polk Park and Confederate Park.

Celebrate the nation's birthday Belton-style as a crowd over 30,000 strong carry on a red, white and blue, Bell County tradition that began in 1924.

Rodeo Events: Belton's annual rodeo begins July 4th with a star-spangled spectacle that includes saddle bronc and bull riding, tie-down and team roping, barrel racing and steer wrestling. Little Lone Star cowpokes can get in on the action during Family Celebration Night, and the town salutes the men and women in uniform with free rodeo admission during Military Appreciation Night.

Shopping: Texas-themed trinkets are on display at the Festival on Nolan Creek at Yettie Polk Park, while arts and crafts with a cowboy motif are on sale at the Western Gift Show at the Bell County Expo Center during the rodeo.

Children's Activities: Every child has a fascination with horses, and the steeds that stroll down Main Street in a 4th of July parade that promises decorative floats, antique automobiles and marching bands will delight both the young and the young at heart. Little ones can also enjoy their own equestrian experience on a pony ride at the Festival on Nolan Creek. Kids of all ages can a spin on the carnival rides at Confederate Park, and pint-sized cowpokes can sign up for Mutton Bustin' and Stick Horse Grand Entry events at the rodeo.
